The Rules
- Sip — Achilles is called 'the greatest warrior' or compared to a god by any character
- Sip — Paris flinches, retreats, or is saved from certain death by another character
- Sip — Hector speaks to Andromache in a private, tender moment before battle
- Sip — King Priam prays to the gods or makes an offering at a Trojan temple
- Sip — Odysseus gives tactical or political advice that someone else ignores
- Drink Twice — Achilles drags Hector's body behind his chariot around the walls of Troy
- Drink Twice — Ajax is shown in battle swinging his enormous shield as a weapon
- Drink Twice — The Trojan Horse is wheeled through the gates of Troy at night
- Shot — Hector kills Patroclus believing he is Achilles — the mistake that seals his fate
- Shot — Achilles kills Hector outside the walls of Troy in their single combat duel
- Chug — Achilles is shot through the heel by Paris's arrow and collapses — Troy falls to Greek fire
Themed Cocktail
Achilles' Heel
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz cognac
- 0.75 oz Aperol
- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz honey syrup
- 3 dashes orange bitters
- 0.25 oz pomegranate grenadine
Instructions:
- 1Combine cognac, Aperol, lemon juice, honey syrup, and bitters in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake for 12 seconds and strain into a chilled coupe glass.
- 3Pour pomegranate grenadine slowly down the inside edge of the glass so it pools at the bottom.
- 4Garnish with a lemon twist expressed over the glass and a single fresh bay leaf draped over the rim.
