Reggie Hammond has 48 hours of freedom — drink every time he uses one of them.
The Rules
- Sip — Jack Cates and Reggie Hammond argue or trade insults based on race or attitude
- Sip — Reggie Hammond references the 48-hour countdown on his temporary release
- Sip — Jack Cates flashes his badge and acts like the law in a non-police setting
- Sip — Ganz kills or threatens someone in a cold, methodical way
- Sip — Reggie mentions what he plans to do once the 48 hours are over
- Drink Twice — Reggie takes over a redneck bar by flashing Jack's badge and controlling the room
- Drink Twice — Jack and Reggie get into a physical altercation with each other directly
- Drink Twice — Luther surfaces as Ganz's accomplice and accelerates the threat level
- Shot — Jack shoots Ganz dead in the parking garage in the film's climax
- Shot — Reggie is put back in handcuffs at the 48-hour deadline with no fanfare
- Chug — Reggie Hammond walks into a Country Western bar and owns every person in it within two minutes
Themed Cocktail
Hammond's Countdown
Ingredients:
- 2 oz bourbon
- 0.75 oz ginger liqueur
- 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.25 oz honey syrup
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 tsp orange marmalade
Instructions:
- 1Muddle the orange marmalade in the bottom of a shaker.
- 2Add bourbon, ginger liqueur, lemon juice, honey syrup, and bitters with ice.
- 3Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
- 4Double-strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- 5Garnish with an orange peel coin pressed on the ice surface.
