Peaky Blinders Drinking Game + Cocktail
By order of the Peaky Blinders, you will drink every time Tommy lights up.
The Rules
- Sip — Tommy Shelby lights a cigarette and takes a long contemplative drag
- Sip — 'By order of the Peaky Blinders' is spoken as a formal threat
- Sip — The razor blade sewn into a flat cap is referenced or shown
- Sip — Arthur Shelby has an emotional breakdown or punches someone in a rage
- Sip — The Garrison Tavern bar set appears during a negotiation or confrontation
- Drink Twice — Polly Gray overrules Tommy with moral authority and wins
- Drink Twice — A Nick Cave or PJ Harvey track kicks in over a slow-motion scene
- Drink Twice — Inspector Campbell (or another law enforcement antagonist) closes in on the Shelbys
- Shot — Tommy executes someone at point-blank range while maintaining eye contact
- Shot — A major Shelby family death occurs that genuinely shocks the group
- Chug — Tommy puts a gun in his mouth in the field, believing he is dying of cancer, and survives
Themed Cocktail
The Garrison Bitter
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Scotch whisky
- 0.5 oz Benedictine
- 0.25 oz demerara syrup
- 3 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash orange bitters
- 1 orange peel for garnish
Instructions:
- 1Combine Scotch, Benedictine, demerara syrup, and both bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
- 2Stir for 30 seconds until properly diluted and chilled.
- 3Strain into a chilled rocks glass over one large ice block.
- 4Express an orange peel over the surface, rub it along the rim, and drop it in.
