- Sip — A Spitfire or Messerschmitt appears in an aerial dogfight
- Sip — A soldier stares silently at the sea waiting to be rescued
- Sip — Mr. Dawson's civilian boat the Moonstone is shown on the water
- Sip — Hans Zimmer's ticking clock motif intensifies in the score
- Sip — Commander Bolton watches ships leave from the mole in silence
- Drink Twice — A ship or vessel is bombed and begins sinking
- Drink Twice — George suffers his head injury below deck on the Moonstone
- Drink Twice — Tommy tries and fails to board an evacuation vessel
- Shot — The shivering soldier is pulled from the cold water onto the boat
- Shot — Farrier burns his fuel gauge data and flies on empty
- Chug — The soldiers finally arrive safely back on English soil
Themed Cocktail
Moonstone Mule
Ingredients:
- 2 oz London dry gin
- 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
- 0.5 oz elderflower cordial
- 4 oz ginger beer
- 2 dashes cucumber bitters
Instructions:
- 1Fill a copper mug with ice.
- 2Add gin, lime juice, and elderflower cordial directly to the mug.
- 3Top with ginger beer and stir gently once to combine.
- 4Add cucumber bitters on top.
- 5Garnish and serve immediately.
