Brave Drinking Game + Cocktail
Drink every time Merida shoots an arrow — miss one and face the Highland Games.
The Rules
- Sip — Merida's wild red hair bounces and fans out during an outdoor riding sequence
- Sip — Queen Elinor corrects Merida's posture, speech, or princess etiquette mid-scene
- Sip — The three triplet brothers Hamish, Hubert, and Harris steal food from the feast table
- Sip — The Will-o'-the-Wisps appear in a cluster of blue-white flames leading into the forest
- Sip — King Fergus tells an exaggerated heroic story about losing his leg to Mor'du
- Drink Twice — Merida shoots three bulls-eye arrows — splitting the last one down the shaft
- Drink Twice — Elinor the bear knocks over the clans' feast with her bear instincts taking over
- Drink Twice — The witch's cottage disappears with Merida still inside the shop
- Shot — Merida sews the tapestry back together in the stone circle as dawn breaks
- Shot — Elinor transforms back to human form and embraces Merida on the cliff's edge
- Chug — Mor'du's spirit is freed from the ancient stone and he nods at Merida before dissolving into wisps
Themed Cocktail
Wisps & Whisky Sour
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Scotch whisky
- 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz honey syrup
- 0.5 oz elderflower cordial
- 0.5 oz egg white or aquafaba
- 1 tsp butterfly pea flower syrup
Instructions:
- 1Combine Scotch, lemon juice, honey syrup, elderflower cordial, and egg white in a shaker without ice.
- 2Dry shake vigorously for 15 seconds to emulsify the white.
- 3Add ice and shake again hard for 12 seconds.
- 4Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
- 5Drop butterfly pea flower syrup onto the foam surface in three small pools — blue wisps guiding the way.
