Number Five's Paradox

Ingredients

• 1.5 oz gin
• 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
• 0.5 oz crème de violette
• 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur
• 0.25 oz blue pea flower tea (for color shift)
• 1 oz sparkling water

Instructions

1. 1Combine gin, lemon juice, crème de violette, and elderflower liqueur in a shaker with ice.
2. 2Shake for 12 seconds and strain into a coupe glass.
3. 3Slowly pour blue pea flower tea over a spoon — it will shift the color from violet to blue.
4. 4Top with sparkling water and serve immediately before the color fully settles.
5. 5No garnish — it's already a paradox in a glass.
