Sitka Spruce Mule

Ingredients

• 1.5 oz Alaskan-style aquavit or rye whiskey
• 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
• 0.5 oz honey syrup
• 0.5 oz fresh ginger juice
• 4 oz ginger beer
• 1 tsp Angostura bitters

Instructions

1. 1Fill a copper mule mug with crushed ice
2. 2Combine aquavit or rye, lime juice, honey syrup, and fresh ginger juice over ice
3. 3Stir vigorously for 15 seconds to chill and combine
4. 4Top with ginger beer and add Angostura bitters on top — do not stir again
5. 5The ginger and honey should give a clean, cold, slightly medicinal finish
6. 6Garnish with a lime wheel and a small sprig of fresh spruce or rosemary
