Ingredients:

2 oz mezcal

Dried chili pepper for garnish

Instructions:

1Combine mezcal, Ancho Reyes, lime juice, and agave in a shaker with ice.
2Shake vigorously for 12 seconds.
3Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
4Add bitters on top and let them bleed through the ice.
5Garnish with a dried chili pepper balanced on the rim.
6The smoke from the mezcal is the lava planet. The burn from the chili is the betrayal.
