Midnight in Paris Drinking Game + Cocktail

When the clock strikes twelve, your drink turns into something straight from the Lost Generation.

The Rules

  • Sip — whenever Gil Pender rhapsodizes about 1920s Paris being the golden age
  • Sip — whenever Inez or her parents dismiss Gil's nostalgia as pretentious nonsense
  • Sip — whenever Gil meets a real historical figure and fails to play it cool
  • Sip — whenever Paul corrects someone with unbearable academic condescension
  • Sip — whenever the magical car arrives at midnight to transport Gil back in time
  • Drink Twice — whenever Hemingway speaks in his signature self-mythologizing cadence
  • Drink Twice — whenever Adriana and Gil share a romantic walk through cobblestone Paris
  • Drink Twice — whenever Fitzgerald and Zelda create chaos at whatever party they attend
  • Shot — whenever Gertrude Stein offers brutal but insightful feedback on Gil's novel
  • Shot — whenever Adriana prefers the Belle Epoque over the 1920s in a meta twist
  • Chug — whenever Gil walks home in the Paris rain with Gabrielle at the film's end
