- Sip — A client is shown adjusting his wig or coat before entering a bawdy house

- Drink Twice — Margaret Wells and Lydia Quigley face off directly in the same scene
- Drink Twice — A harlot is arrested or dragged away by the constable
- Drink Twice — Charlotte Wells uses her wits to outmaneuver a powerful man
- Shot — A character is killed or dies on screen
- Shot — Margaret Wells is publicly humiliated in front of a crowd
- Chug — The Wells household is raided and the women scatter into the street
Themed Cocktail
The Covent Garden Rose
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz gin
- 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur
- 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- 2 dashes rosewater
- 1 oz sparkling wine, to top
Instructions:
- 1Combine gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, simple syrup, and rosewater in a shaker with ice.
- 2Shake vigorously for 12 seconds until well chilled.
- 3Double strain into a chilled Nick and Nora glass.
- 4Top gently with sparkling wine.
- 5Garnish and serve immediately.
