- Sip — When Deborah shows vulnerability she immediately covers with deflection or a quip
- Drink Twice — When Ava says something brutally honest that causes a real rupture between them
- Drink Twice — When Deborah sabotages Ava's career or opportunities out of fear of being replaced
- Drink Twice — Every time the pair's truce breaks and they go back to open hostility
- Shot — When Deborah performs new deeply personal material Ava helped her develop
- Shot — When Ava's leaked email is discovered and threatens their entire working relationship

Themed Cocktail
The Vegas Closer
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz dry gin
- 0.75 oz Lillet Blanc
- 0.5 oz fresh grapefruit juice
- 0.25 oz elderflower liqueur
- 1 dash celery bitters
Instructions:
- 1Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass filled with ice.
- 2Stir for 25 seconds until very cold.
- 3Strain into a chilled Nick and Nora glass.
- 4No ice in the glass — this drink is sharp and sophisticated.
