The Rules
- Sip — Tyrion Lannister makes a witty remark while visibly holding a goblet of wine
- Sip — a scene cuts from a map of Westeros to the corresponding real location
- Sip — someone kneels and swears fealty to a seated ruler or claimant
- Sip — 'Winter is coming' or a variation of the Stark words is spoken
- Sip — the Rains of Castamere plays as background score in any scene
- Drink Twice — a major named character is killed without warning or ceremony
- Drink Twice — a dragon appears in the sky above a battlefield or city
- Drink Twice — the Iron Throne appears in close-up as a character stares at it
- Shot — the Red Wedding sequence begins with 'The Rains of Castamere' playing live
- Shot — Jon Snow is revealed to be Aegon Targaryen with a confirmed claim
- Chug — Daenerys burns King's Landing after the bells ring in surrender
Themed Cocktail
Lannister Gold
Ingredients:
- 1.5 oz cognac
- 0.75 oz blood orange juice
- 0.5 oz Cointreau
- 0.25 oz honey syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Gold luster dust (optional, food grade)
Instructions:
- 1Combine cognac, blood orange juice, Cointreau, honey syrup, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice
- 2Stir for 30 full rotations — no shaking, this is a dignified cocktail
- 3Strain into a chilled coupe glass
- 4If using gold luster dust, whisk a tiny amount in a teaspoon of cognac and pour gently on top
- 5The blood orange gives a crimson tint to the gold cognac — the colors of house Lannister
- 6Garnish with a blood orange twist expressed over the glass and rested on the rim
