Drunk History Drinking Game + Cocktail

Real history. Real drinks. Real historians who can barely remember the story they're telling.

The Rules

  • Sip — The narrator slurs a word they clearly rehearsed sober and tries to power through
  • Sip — An actor lip-syncs narration that doesn't quite match their character's era or accent
  • Sip — The narrator has to be helped back onto the couch or handed a glass mid-story
  • Sip — A historical figure does something ridiculous and the narrator editorializes loudly
  • Sip — Derek Waters appears on screen and tries to keep the narrator on track
  • Drink Twice — The narrator completely loses the thread and has to restart the same sentence three times
  • Drink Twice — Two actors playing historical enemies lip-sync an argument with complete commitment
  • Drink Twice — The narrator starts crying about something that happened 200 years ago
  • Shot — The narrator passes out mid-story and production cuts to a title card
  • Shot — A celebrity cameo appears as a wildly miscast historical figure and owns every second
  • Chug — The narrator finishes the story, gets the moral completely wrong, and looks proud of themselves
