The Black Opal

Ingredients

• 2 oz rye whiskey
• 0.5 oz blackberry liqueur
• 0.5 oz activated charcoal simple syrup
• 0.25 oz lemon juice
• 2 dashes black walnut bitters

Instructions

1. 1Combine rye, blackberry liqueur, charcoal syrup, and lemon juice in a shaker with ice.
2. 2Shake vigorously and strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
3. 3Add black walnut bitters on top.
4. 4The drink should be nearly black with a purple tint.
