Ursula's Poor Unfortunate Pour

Ingredients

• 1.5 oz coconut rum
• 0.5 oz creme de violette
• 0.5 oz activated charcoal syrup
• 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
• 0.75 oz blueberry puree
• 1 oz sparkling water

Instructions

1. 1Combine coconut rum, creme de violette, activated charcoal syrup, lemon juice, and blueberry puree in a shaker with ice.
2. 2Shake hard for 12 seconds — the drink will be a deep inky purple-black.
3. 3Strain into a tall glass over ice.
4. 4Top with sparkling water and stir once so bubbles rise through the dark liquid.
5. 5Garnish with two spiral twists of lemon peel arranged like tentacles draped over the glass rim.
