The Roadhouse Rye

Ingredients

• 2 oz rye whiskey
• 0.5 oz fresh lemon juice
• 0.5 oz honey syrup
• 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
• 1 dash Angostura bitters
• 1 lemon peel

Instructions

1. 1Combine rye, lemon juice, honey syrup, and both bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
2. 2Stir for 25 seconds until well chilled.
3. 3Strain into a chilled rocks glass over a large single ice cube.
4. 4Express the lemon peel over the top, run it around the rim, and drop it in.
5. 5No fancy glass, no stemware — just a rocks glass, like the Roadhouse, like the boys.
