The Winchester Pint

Ingredients

• 12 oz dark ale (such as Newcastle Brown)
• 1 oz dark rum
• 0.5 oz blackcurrant cordial
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• 0.25 oz fresh lemon juice

Instructions

1. 1Chill a pint glass in the freezer for at least 10 minutes
2. 2Combine dark rum, blackcurrant cordial, bitters, and lemon juice in the bottom of the cold pint glass
3. 3Slowly pour the dark ale down the side of the tilted glass to preserve the head
4. 4Let settle for 30 seconds until the layers integrate
5. 5Serve as-is with no garnish — Ed wouldn't bother
