The ID-7 Red Eye

Ingredients

• 2 oz bourbon
• 0.5 oz Aperol
• 0.5 oz blood orange juice
• 0.25 oz simple syrup
• 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
• 1 barspoon grenadine

Instructions

1. 1Combine bourbon, Aperol, blood orange juice, and simple syrup in a shaker with ice.
2. 2Shake vigorously for 12 seconds.
3. 3Strain over a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
4. 4Carefully drop grenadine into the center to sink like a red eye.
5. 5Add Peychaud's bitters on top without stirring.
