Ingredients

• 2 oz mezcal
• 0.75 oz fresh lime juice
• 0.5 oz blood orange juice
• 0.25 oz agave nectar
• 1 tsp activated charcoal powder
• 2 dashes smoked chili bitters

Instructions

1. 1Combine mezcal, lime juice, blood orange juice, agave nectar, and smoked chili bitters in a shaker with ice.
2. 2Add the activated charcoal directly into the shaker.
3. 3Shake hard for 15 seconds — it will turn dark and theatrical.
4. 4Strain into a rocks glass over a large clear ice cube.
5. 5Garnish with a blood orange wedge and a small dusting of smoked paprika.
