Ingredients

• 2 oz rye whiskey
• 0.5 oz Fernet-Branca
• 0.25 oz simple syrup
• 2 dashes Angostura bitters
• 1 large ice cube

Instructions

1. 1Place a large ice cube in a rocks glass and chill.
2. 2Combine rye whiskey, Fernet-Branca, simple syrup, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
3. 3Stir for 25 seconds until cold and slightly diluted.
4. 4Strain over the large ice cube.
5. 5Serve without garnish — there is nothing decorative about this situation.
