The Immortal Sugimoto

Ingredients

• 2 oz Japanese whisky (Suntory Toki or Nikka)
• 0.5 oz honey syrup (1:1 honey and water)
• 3 dashes Angostura bitters
• 1 large ice cube
• 0.25 oz fresh lemon juice

Instructions

1. 1Place a large ice cube in a rocks glass and chill for 30 seconds.
2. 2Combine Japanese whisky, honey syrup, lemon juice, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
3. 3Stir for 25 seconds until well chilled and diluted.
4. 4Strain over the large ice cube in the rocks glass.
5. 5Express a lemon peel over the surface and discard.
