The Sheriff's Rye

Ingredients

• 2.5 oz rye whiskey
• 0.25 oz demerara syrup
• 3 dashes Angostura bitters
• 1 dash Peychaud's bitters
• 1 large ice cube

Instructions

1. 1Place a large ice cube in a rocks glass.
2. 2Combine rye, demerara syrup, and both bitters in a mixing glass with ice.
3. 3Stir for 25 seconds until very cold and slightly diluted.
4. 4Strain over the large ice cube.
5. 5Serve without garnish — this is frontier country.
